10. Thisara Perera

In all three formats that the game was played, Perera played for Sri Lanka. Thisara was the captain of the team during tournaments that were limited to a certain number of overs such as ODI and T20. In May of 2021, he said that he would no longer play cricket in international tournaments. In a Twenty20 International and a One-Day International in February of 2016, Perera became just the second player to achieve this feat, joining Brett Lee. 7. Dilhara Fernando

5. Sanath Jayasuriya

Sanath Jayasuriya played for the Sri Lankan national cricket team from 1989 to 2011. In a type of cricket called “limited overs,” Jayasuriya is known as one of the best all-rounders. He was a batsman who played in the offense and was known for how hard he hit. Sanath is the first player in the history of One-Day Internationals to have both scored more than 10,000 runs and taken more than 300 wickets. He is fifth on the list. Jayasuriya has taken 440 wickets in international play.

4. Rangana Herath

Rangana Herath played for the national team of Sri Lanka from 1999 to 2018. Herath is widely regarded as one of the sport’s all-time great spin bowlers. He has done better in test matches than any other left-arm bowler. Also, Rangana is the only spin bowler from Sri Lanka who has ever taken three wickets in a test match. Herath has taken 525 wickets in international games for Sri Lanka. He is the fourth person on the list.

3. Lasith Malinga 

Malinga is no longer playing ODIs or tests. Only Lasith has ever been able to take four wickets in a row with four straight deliveries in international cricket. Lasith is the current record holder for the most hat-tricks scored in One-Day Internationals (3 hat-tricks). Most people agree that Malinga is one of the best bowlers in the world when it comes to limited-overs games. He is the third one on the list. Lasith has taken 546 wickets in international play for Sri Lanka.

2. Chaminda Vaas

Chaminda Vaas played for Sri Lanka in international games from 1994 to 2009. No other fast bowler in Sri Lanka’s history has won more games than him. Chaminda currently holds the world record for the best bowling performance in a One-Day International cricket game (8/19). During the same time, he also worked with Muralitharan and played a supporting role. Vaas is second on the list. In international games, he has taken 761 wickets for his country.

1. Muttiah Muralitharan

Muttiah Muralitharan has taken more wickets than any other bowler in cricket history. He was the first bowler to take more than 530 wickets in a test match and 800 wickets in a one-day international. Muttiah has a lot of World Records right now. He has had the most five-wicket hauls in international cricket than anyone else (77). In short, he is the best bowler ever in the history of cricket. Muralitharan is at the very top of this particular list. In international games, he has taken 1347 wickets for his country.
