What Information You Can Correct Via JEE Main 2022 Correction Window

There has been an announcement that the JEE Main form correction window for 2022 will be available online for eligible candidates starting around the second or third week of June (exact date not announced yet). 

This follows an announcement by the National Testing Agency (NTA) that it was going to release the correction session on its website. Following the opening of the window, candidates can modify their exam details by logging in using their login credentials, such as date of birth, registration ID, and password. 

JEE Main candidates will have to pay an additional fee (if applicable) via credit card/net banking/Paytm/debit card/UPI. The JEE Main form correction period for session 1 ended on 8 April. JEE Main admit cards will be issued to only those candidates who submitted their forms on time. 

The JEE Main 2022 registration form will be available in two rounds – June and July. Read this article to note the changes that you can make and know whether you have to sit the test again this year.

What Information can be Corrected during JEE Main 2022 Application Correction Window

The information that can be edited for correction is mentioned below:

  1. Name of Father/Mother: Students can choose to update the name of either their father or mother (Only 1 of the parents).
  2. Certificate of Caste Category: Students may either edit the caste category or upload a valid certificate for the same. They cannot do both.
  3. Certificate of Caste Sub-Category: Students can either update their caste sub-category (PwD) or again upload the certificate of sub-category and vice-versa. They are not allowed to do both.
  4. Medium and City: Students will be eligible to modify their city and also the medium of language in which they would like to take the JEE Main 2022 exam.
  5. Qualification with the year of passing: Students can also make necessary changes in the qualification field for their 10th board and 12th board or any equivalent exam.
  6. Change of Course: TheNTA has allowed students to update the courses they selected on their JEE Main 2022 application while filling it out.

How to Make Corrections in the JEE Main 2022 Application Form

  1. Open the JEE Main 2022 website – jeemain.nta.nic.in – and sign in with your registration number, date of birth, and password.
  2. Once you sign in, head to the JEE Main Correction in Application Form 2022 link and make the necessary modifications.
  3. Go through each guideline carefully, and then click the ‘Proceed’ button to land on the JEE Main 2022 correction window page.
  4. Students should verify the complete JEE Main 2022 registration form. Make sure to make all necessary updates.
  5. Once all the modifications are done, click the ‘Submit’ button.
  6. Make sure to take a printout of the final corrected application form.
